Arcstar Global Frame Relay
The Arcstar Global Frame Relay Service achieves fast, high-volume communications at low cost. NTT’s global frame relay networks allows the flexible and economical construction of networks from Australian locations to Japan and other countries. In addition, end-to-end management for the entire network is provided through the unified operation and management of the NTT Communications Group NOC.
Frame Relay is a communications technology that achieves high-speed communications by simplifying the control of packet re-transmission, flow control, etc. Bandwidth usage can be controlled by the CIR (Committed Information Rate) when a network is open, so bursts in traffic can also be handled flexibly.

A PVC (Permanent Virtual Circuit) is used to communicate with parties that have been registered beforehand, so unauthorised access into the network is prevented and total security is ensured.
CIR (Committed Information Rate) values that vary with the direction of transmission can be set.
Logical links allow simultaneous communications with multiple parties on a single line or physical port. The addition of new sites is flexibly supported through the provisioning of addition of logical links.
Fixed monthly rates result in high performance at low cost.
VoFR (Voice over Frame Relay), in addition to data transmission, is possible. A highly dependable private voice network can be built at a very low cost.
In addition to VoFR, networks using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) are also supported. It provides a reliable, integrated network for IP based data and voice communications.
