The Arcstar Global ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) Service delivers reliable communications over a wide range of bandwidth, from 1.5Mbps to 155Mbps. This service enables a seamless global network environment. In addition, end-to-end management for the entire network is provided through the unified operations and management of the NTT Communications Group NOC.

The Arcstar Global ATM Service allows multiple, secure communication routes over one access line. This managed service is a service for customers requiring high-quality, high availability, value-added end-to-end service. NTT can also supply and manage the customer’s routers through the NTT Managed Router Service. Additionally, the customer can receive end-to-end off-site support (remote monitoring, breakdown reception, breakdown contact, etc.), on-site support (on-site breakdown analysis and repair, etc.) and top-level SLA, which ensures an always-optimized network environment.
Other Features:

A wide range of communications speeds (1.5Mbps - 155Mbps) and support for bursts in traffic are available together with a wide variety of service levels,i.e. (CBR (Constant bit Rate), VBR-nrt (Variable Bit Rate non-real time), UBR (Uncommited Bit Rate)

A PVC (Permanent Virtual Circuit) is used to communicate with parties that have been registered beforehand, so unauthorised access into the network is prevented and total security is ensured.

Logical links allow simultaneous communications with multiple parties on a single line/physical port. The addition of additional sites is flexibly supported through the addition of Virtual Circuits (VCs)
