Arcstar Global IP-VPN
The Arcstar Global IP-VPN (Internet Protocol-Virtual Private Network) Service is a fast and secure, high quality network service that uses MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) technology. It boasts world-class coverage and offers a seamless global IP communications environment. End-to-end management for the entire network is provided through the unified operations and management of the NTT Communications Group NOCs.
High Voice Quality via Priority Control and VoIP on Even Lower Speed Bandwidth
The Arcstar Global IP-VPN Service enables priority control for each application due to its three class QoS (Quality of Service) feature. In accordance with the class preset on the transmission side, high-priority packets are sent out preferentially, which results in high quality VoIP. A special priority service is also offered to achieve VoIP on low-speed bandwidth, where vacillations and delays in voice packets can easily occur.
Redundant network configuration provides great reliability
Both static and dynamic routing (BGP4) protocols are supported. The combination and use of dynamic routing and backup lines at the customer's site, allows traffic to be switched automatically to a backup path when a line failure is detected. In addition, a high degree of reliability in the core network is achieved through a redundant network configuration using dual nodes and duplicated lines.
IPSec Access Solution
This optional service connects to the Arcstar Global IP-VPN (MPLS) network from various countries' Internet services (ADSL, SDSL, Leased Line, etc.) via an IPSec tunnel. The traffic is connected safely from customer's LAN to the MPLS network by VPN equipment. NTT also offers the Installation and maintenance of VPN equipment in <<124>> countries.

Thanks to an IP-VPN environment that seamlessly connects Australia to the rest of the world, a fully meshed global IP communications network with advanced security features can be constructed by plugging in to a single port per geographic site. Besides being compatible with large-scale sites in which connection is made via frame Relay, ATM or leased lines, the service also can handle minority sites with low traffic via IPSec access and remote access by employees on business trips. It offers a flexible network environment that is secure, economical and can be used with a variety of access lines.
